Getting Started

GAT Markets is a software automation system for XAUUSD trading on MetaTrader 5. The Expert Advisor runs inside your own MetaTrader 5 terminal, on your computer or a VPS.

When a setup meets the strategy rules, the software places and manages the trade automatically on your own brokerage account — including setting stop-losses, taking profits at target levels, and closing positions. You do not need to monitor the screen or take any action once it is set up.
Usually between one hour and a day, depending mainly on how fast your broker account is ready.

If you already have a funded MT5 account with a supported broker: create your account and subscribe, we set your licence up against that account, and you then download the software, install it and confirm your trading configuration.

If you still need a broker account, identity verification at the broker usually takes a few hours to a couple of days — that step is theirs, not ours.
You do not need trading experience to set up and run the software. The setup guide in your portal covers every step — broker account, MetaTrader 5, installing the file and confirming your settings — and the software then runs without any manual trading input from you.

You should still understand what trading gold on leverage involves before committing capital. All trading carries a risk of loss, and you should be comfortable with the possibility of losing the money you put at risk, automation or not.
GAT sets no formal minimum, but the maths does. The software sizes each position from your balance and your risk setting, so an account that is too small cannot express your chosen risk and will hit the broker's minimum lot size instead.

As a practical floor we would not suggest starting below about $1,000. Below that, minimum lot sizes and spread costs start to dominate, and a normal losing run is a much larger share of the account.
Yes. You can run the software on a demo account with a supported broker to watch how it behaves before committing real money. A subscription is still required, because the licence is what activates the software.

Bear in mind that a demo does not reflect real execution. Spreads, slippage and fill behaviour differ on a live account, so demo results are not predictive of live results.

Technology & EA

It depends where you run it. The software runs inside MetaTrader 5, so MT5 has to be open and connected for it to place or manage trades.

On your own computer: yes — it must stay on, awake and online. If it sleeps, restarts or loses connection, the software stops managing your trades until it is back.

On a VPS: no. A VPS is a remote machine that stays on independently of yours, so you can shut your computer down, travel or sleep and the software keeps running. You connect to it with Remote Desktop when you want to look.

Most clients use a VPS for exactly that reason, but it is your choice and you pay that provider directly.
A live MetaTrader 5 account with one of the brokers we support. You pick yours from a list when you create your GAT account, and your licence is issued against that account.

The software has to know how your broker names its symbols and how it handles execution, which is why the list is fixed. If your broker is not on it, contact us before subscribing — running on an unsupported broker can mean trades are not placed correctly.
When a setup meets the strategy rules, the software validates it, calculates the position size from your balance and your risk setting, and places the order on your MT5 account with a stop-loss and take-profit already attached.

It then manages that trade for you — moving the stop-loss as price moves in your favour, taking partial profit at target levels, and closing out when the trade is finished. It also applies your own limits, such as your daily loss limit and equity protection, and will stop opening new trades once one of those is hit.
Yes, from the portal, whenever you like. You control risk per trade, your daily loss limit, your profit cap and the equity protection threshold.

Changes apply the next time the software checks in, usually within minutes. Raising risk raises both potential gain and potential loss — consider the effect on your whole account, not just a single trade, before increasing it.
Both cases are handled, and in both the important part is the same: trades already open keep being managed.

If your machine or VPS loses connection: the software keeps managing open trades from its stored configuration — stop-losses, trailing stops and take-profit levels all continue to be applied. No new trades are opened until the connection is back.

If the GAT service is unavailable: the same applies. Open trades continue to be managed on your own machine; no new trades are opened until service resumes.

If MetaTrader 5 itself is closed or the machine is off, nothing is managed at all — that is the case worth avoiding.
Yes. Your copy is licensed to the MT5 account number you registered, and checks that licence before it will trade. It will not trade on an account other than the one it was issued for. The EA cannot be copied and run on a second account, shared with a third party, or used without a valid active license. Attempting to run the EA on an unlicensed account will result in the EA refusing to trade.

Plans & Billing

$118 per month (USD), or $59 per month once we have verified your account with a supported partner broker. Both plans are the same software with the same features — only the price differs. See Plans & Pricing.
Open or transfer your trading account through our partner broker link, then contact us with that account number before you subscribe. We check it against our partner records and, if it matches, send you a private checkout link at the $59 rate. Verification is done by us — it is not something you self-declare. If you have already subscribed at the standard rate, contact us anyway and we will arrange it. If that verification later lapses, your subscription returns to $118 from the next billing period; your access is not cancelled for that reason alone.

GAT may receive partner or introducing-broker remuneration when an eligible user opens or uses an account through the supported partner route. This arrangement does not give GAT access to client funds and does not guarantee any trading result.
Your broker charges normal spreads and commissions, exactly as it would for any other client. If you run MetaTrader 5 on a VPS rather than your own computer, you pay that provider directly — typically around $7–27 per month. Neither of those is paid to GAT, and neither is included in your subscription.
Cancel any time through the payment provider or by contacting us. Your licence ends immediately — there is no grace period — and the software stops opening new trades.

Positions already open on your account are not closed by us. While the software is still running it manages them to their existing targets, but you remain responsible for those positions, including closing them yourself if you choose. Do not rely on GAT to close positions for you after your subscription ends.
No — we do not refund the unused part of a billing period. That does not affect any legal right you have to a refund where the service has not been supplied as described. Because the software is made available immediately, subscribing means you request immediate access and accept that the usual 14-day cancellation right no longer applies once the download is available.
No. Create your account and choose a plan — your subscription and your portal login both activate as soon as payment clears. Your licence is a separate step: it is issued against your MetaTrader 5 account number and broker, so bring both to sign-up, and a person completes that setup before the software will place anything. Your subscription is active from checkout either way.

Risk & Performance

Your money stays in your own brokerage account, in your name, with your broker. GAT cannot withdraw funds, transfer money or touch your capital. We are not a managed account provider — the software can only open, manage and close trades inside MetaTrader 5.

You keep full control at all times. You can switch the software off, change your settings, withdraw funds or close your broker account whenever you want, without asking us.
Typically 4–6 trades per week, depending on market conditions. Some weeks have more, some fewer; there is no fixed minimum or maximum, and a quiet week is normal rather than a fault.

Every trade is placed with a stop-loss and a take-profit. Risk per trade is yours to set, and defaults to a conservative level. All trading carries risk: there will be losing trades, losing weeks and losing months. We cannot and do not predict performance. Please read the full Risk Disclosure.
We do not publish projected returns, income estimates or any performance guarantee. Doing so would be a misleading financial promotion, and no honest answer to this question exists.

Results vary widely with market conditions, your account size, your risk settings and your broker's execution. The same strategy can behave very differently in different market conditions.

Published results are on the Performance page, with a note explaining exactly what those figures represent. Past performance does not guarantee future results.
Drawdown is normal in any strategy, and you should expect it rather than be surprised by it. A run of consecutive losing trades at your chosen risk per trade compounds: at 2% risk, ten losses in a row is roughly a fifth of the account. Longer runs are possible in adverse conditions.

You can limit a single bad session with the daily loss limit and the equity protection threshold in your settings, and we would encourage you to set both. Neither prevents losses across separate days, and no setting can guarantee a maximum loss — a gap or a disorderly market can move through a stop.

Only trade with money you can afford to lose.
No. GAT is a rule-based automation system. The strategy criteria are defined by experienced traders — entry zone, stop-loss reference and take-profit levels — not produced by a model. The software executes and manages trades against those criteria automatically.

There is no machine learning, no neural network, no adaptive algorithm, and no AI-generated setup selection involved. We say this explicitly because "AI trading" is a common marketing term that is frequently misapplied. Our system does not self-learn or adapt its strategy selection based on past performance. See the How It Works page for a full explanation of the system's approach.
