How Performance Is Calculated

How the results on the GAT Trading History are counted: where they come from, what counts as a Win or a Loss, and how pips are measured.

Where the results come from

The trading history is the strategy's historical setup record: every setup the strategy published, with the outcome the strategy recorded for it.

Each setup is one XAUUSD trade opportunity with an entry price or entry zone, a stop-loss, and at least one take-profit target.

Outcome Classification

How results are classified

WIN
The setup reached at least one take-profit target (TP1, TP2 or TP3). A setup that reached a target and later hit its stop-loss still counts as a Win, because that is how the strategy records it.
LOSS
The setup hit its stop-loss before reaching any take-profit target.
Win rate is wins divided by wins plus losses. Setups the strategy recorded as break-even are not included in the trading history.
Reporting Convention

How pips are calculated

PIP DEFINITION
For XAUUSD, 1 pip is a 0.10 price move. A move from 3300.00 to 3301.00 is 10 pips. Your broker or MT5 terminal may count pips differently.
PIPS PER SETUP
A Win is measured from the entry to the furthest target the setup reached. A Loss is measured from the entry to the stop-loss and shown as a negative number. Pips measure price distance, not the profit or loss of any account.

Stop-loss distance statistics

Distance from entry to stop-loss for gold setups, from GAT historical/imported performance data covering 1 Jun 2026 – 1 Sep 2026.

These are historical figures, not a guaranteed future range or maximum. Any money figures are an estimate to give a general idea: contract size, spread, commission, swap and account currency vary between brokers, so check with your broker what one lot is worth on your account.

Reading this table: Typical range is where the middle half of setups fell (25th to 75th percentile). P90/P95 mean 90%/95% of setups had a stop at or inside that distance. Historical max is the widest stop in this period, not a limit GAT enforces. Distances are price moves: $1.00 is 10 pips.

What is not published

  • Account details — no client names, MT5 account numbers or broker account details.
  • Money figures — results are shown in pips, not dollar profit or loss, balance changes or percentage returns.
  • A filtered selection — losing setups, losing periods and weaker months are not removed.
Past performance: Past results do not predict future results. The trading history is the strategy's record, not the results of any client account; your results depend on your account size, risk settings, broker, spread and market conditions. XAUUSD trading involves significant risk of loss, and automated systems do have losing runs. Read the full risk disclosure →
